Welcome to the Burra community

The Minyip/Murtoa Football & Netball Club is a community orientated Club competing in the Wimmera Football Netball League in Victoria’s Wimmera Mallee.

We belong to two small country towns: Murtoa (population 897) and Minyip (population 525). Murtoa and Minyip are satellite towns to the area’s main Regional City, Horsham (population 20,429), being only a short drive from both towns.

Our Club now consists of eight levels of Football, including the new Senior Women’s Football Team in 2025, and nine grades of Netball.

Football – Senior, Reserve, U17, U14, U11, U8, Burra Female Football (Senior) and AusKick (Minyip/Murtoa program, and now including a Horsham program).

Netball – A Grade, B Grade, C Grade, C Reserve, 17U, 15U, 13U, Net Set Go Program (Minyip/Murtoa training program with games played within the Horsham competition).

Our Club Song

We are the black and blues

We are the famous black and blues

We’re the team that never lets you down

We’re the only team from both our towns

With all the champions they like to send up

We’ll keep our end up

And they will know that

They’ve been playing against

The mighty black and blues!
